Mission
KMI Music Studio provides one-on-one piano instruction with individually designed piano lessons that are carefully adopted to the student's own ability, strengths and weaknesses.

Since we provide individualized lessons, we welcome transfer students. There is no need to purchase a whole set of new materials, and students can pick up at where they left off.
​
Although in-person, studio lessons are recommended and more effective, KMI Music Studio offers on-line lessons. Please inquire regarding media requirements.

The studio hold at least two student recitals a year. In addition, various recital and competition opportunities are available through MTAC or other organizations. Students are encourage to participate in these opportunities. Students are also encouraged participate in CM (Certificate of Merit) grade tests through MTAC.
KMI Music Studio's piano instructor, Ms. Kate Iwanami, is a former school teacher and has been a piano player herself for over 45 years. She is an experienced piano instructor who has taught students from ages three to adult at all levels of piano playing ability.
KMI Music Studio is located in the Clairemont area of the City of San Diego.
